To be eligible the film/programme must have been released in 2025. Cinema, streaming or television.

The only exceptions to this are films premiering (UK premiere) at London Film Festival.

Films/programmes (including episodes) produced in the UK may also be entered in

Best Edited British Drama or  Best Edited British Documentary or Non Fiction Programme.

To be UK produced the film/programme is produced by a UK company or subsidiary and has a significant UK spend.

Best Edited Current Affairs can be a national or international film or TV programme, episode or news item

on a current news story.

The judges' decision as to what qualifies is final.
